This is one of the early style Embroidered Afghan Coats. That all the rich hippies and Rockstars were wearing in the late 60s Woodstock era . In the Christmas Movie “SCROOGED”Character Claire wore a coat like this. See last photo.

Good Vintage Condition. Normal Signs of wear. But clean for age.

Interior is thick and plush.

NOTE : These coats were handmade. The right sleeve has an insert. The Artisan added or Inserted more skin to complete the inner sleeve at the seam. This has caused the sleeve to NOT lay as smooth at the inner seam, but pucker and be a little stiff. Refer to photo 8. These patching and inserts were very common at the time for these early vests and coats.

I am one of few seller who has Sheepskin Coats Professionally Dry Cleaned and Inspected. This is an important factor when your making an investment in one of these coats. Cost $175 because cleaning is done by hand because of all the embroidery.
NOTE: A furrier will Not clean a dry rotted sheepskin coat because it will fall apart in the process. Don’t buy a coat that is shedding.

So Coat is Clean and ready to wear right out of the box.

Fur Lining is thick. This is a pelt and does not stretch. The style was to wear open especially because they are very warm. Message me with any questions or concerns about fit.
