This sandals have beautiful Zebra Wood Platforms with a Swirl Cutout that make a dramatic statement.

These were expensive shoes in the 70s. The sole is one piece of Zebra Wood which wasn't readily available in the 70s. And was used as accent pieces like automotive dashboards of Expensive foreign Sports Cars. Or trim on furniture. It is labor intensive process of piecing veneers together to make the zebra pattern. Then hand cutting the spiral design. The devil is in the details.

Pierre Cardin made a wood platform sandal with a similar swirl cutout.
